Privacy Policy for SpeedScan

Last updated: 14 August 2025

SpeedScan respects your privacy. We don’t run any backend servers, we don’t create accounts, and we don’t sell your data. This policy explains what happens when you use the SpeedScan iOS app. What the app does on your device
• Measures your network speed (Ping, Download, Upload).
• Shows network details like your local/public IP address and ISP name.
• Optionally keeps a local history of your test results (result values, date/time, device model name, and connection type).
This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Data we (the developers) collect
• None. We do not collect, store, or receive personal data from the app.
Advertising & App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
• SpeedScan uses Google AdMob to display ads.
• On first launch, iOS asks whether you allow tracking.
• If you allow, AdMob may use your device’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and related signals to deliver personalized ads across apps and websites.
• If you don’t allow, SpeedScan requests non‑personalized ads, and AdMob does not receive the IDFA.
• We do not have direct access to the IDFA.
Data sharing
• We do not share any of your data. Ad content is provided directly by Google AdMob under their own privacy policy.
Your choices
• You can change tracking permission anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
• You can reset your advertising identifier in Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising (or your device’s relevant advertising settings).
• To remove your local test history, delete the app or use any in‑app “Clear history” feature (if provided).
